Terms of Use
These terms cover the Eau de Over app and its Showcase. They are short on purpose. By creating an account or posting to the Showcase you agree to them. How we handle your data is in the Privacy policy.
Who can use Eau de Over
You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under the age of majority where you live, use it with a parent's or guardian's permission.
Your account
An account is optional; the journal works without one. If you sign in, keep access to your email secure, because that is how you sign in. You are responsible for what is posted from your account. You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Account → Delete account.
Showcase rules
The Showcase is shared with other signed-in collectors, so it has rules, and we apply them with zero tolerance:
- No objectionable content. No hate, harassment, threats, sexual or violent content, or anything illegal, in your handle, your display name or anything you post.
- Be yourself. Do not impersonate another person or a brand.
- No spam or advertising.
Anyone can report a post or a profile and block a person from inside the app. We review reports, and a post reported by several people is hidden until it has been reviewed. If content breaks these rules we remove it, and the account that posted it may lose the ability to post or be removed. Blocking someone hides their posts and Rotation from you; they are not told.
Your content
What you post stays yours. While it is posted, you give us permission to store it and show it to other signed-in users of the Showcase, which is all we use it for. Delete a post, or your account, and it leaves the Showcase.
Recommendations and the fade
Recommendations, wear times and the fade curves are estimates from a model of each fragrance's notes, the weather and your own journal. They are a guide, not a guarantee: skin, dose and the day all vary. Eau de Over is provided as it is, without warranties, and to the extent the law allows we are not liable for decisions you make with it.
Fragrance names
Fragrance and house names are trademarks of their owners. Eau de Over is independent and not affiliated with any of them.
Changes and contact
If these terms change, the effective date above changes with them, and a material change is announced in the app.
